Why Annual Servicing Matters
Sydney’s coastal climate — salt air, humidity, and temperature swings — puts more strain on air conditioning systems than inland cities. Filters clog faster, coils accumulate more salt deposits, and drain lines block more readily. An annual service isn’t just about keeping your system running — it’s about keeping it running efficiently.
What We Check and Clean
Our technicians follow a comprehensive 15-point service checklist on every visit:
- Indoor filter removal, wash, and dry
- Evaporator coil clean with biodegradable foam cleaner
- Blower fan wheel inspection and clean
- Condensate drain pan inspection and flush
- Outdoor condenser coil inspection and clean
- Refrigerant pressure check (leak test)
- Electrical connections check and torque
- Capacitor and contactor inspection
- Temperature differential test (supply vs return)
- Controller calibration check
Service Intervals We Recommend
For most Sydney homes, we recommend an annual service before summer (October/November). Homes within 2km of the harbour or ocean, homes with pets, or systems running 8+ hours per day benefit from bi-annual servicing. Ducted systems with multiple zones should be serviced every 6–12 months.
